P-SERIES RIGA-FLO® Filters

Totally New Concept Utilizes A Synthetic Microfiber Media

The P-Series RIGA-FLO is the latest innovation from Farr Company, the inventor of the RIGA-FLO filter concept, and the first U.S. filter manufacturer to use polypropylene media in a rigid construction. Major improvements in media technology have produced this remarkable, improved, state-of-the-art P-Series synthetic media, which offers significant advantages over other media.

SYNTHETIC MEDIA- The P-Series RIGA-FLO introduces the newest concepts in modern synthetic microfiber filter media. This media is a combination of a light spun-bound top sheet with an air laid microfiber core, and a heavyweight spun-bound scrim. This synthetic media offers efficiencies similar to traditional glass microfiber filter media, but at a lower pressure drop because of its inherent electrostatic charge on the synthetic microfiber.

Rated as U.L. Class 2, this media has been thoroughly tested and is in full compliance with ASHRAE 52.1-92.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS- P-Series media provides outstanding performance relative to other media. Compare a P-Series RIGA-FLO to many other rigid filters available today. The P-Series products offer lower pressure drop, higher dust holding capacity and higher arrestance.

APPLICATIONS - The P-Series RIGA-FLO is an ideal economical choice in many applications. Examples include commercial and industrial buildings, power and processing plants, painting facilities and more.

Performance

SPECIFICATIONS
Air filters shall be Farr P-Series Riga-Flo (P-65), (P-85), (P-95) high performance, deep pleated totally rigid and disposable type. Each filter consists of a synthetic, electrostatically charged media, media support grid, contour stabilizers, diagonal support bracing and enclosing frame.

FARR RIGA-FLO P-65 - Filter media shall consist of a completely synthetic, electrostatically charged microfiber graded mat, with a light spun bonded top sheet and a heavyweight spun bonded support scrim. The filter shall have an average efficiency of 60-65% on ASHRAE 52.1-92. It shall have an average arrestance of not less than 97.5% on that standard. Filters shall be listed by Underwriter's Laboratories as Class 2.

FARR RIGA-FLO P-85 - Filter media shall consist of a completely synthetic, electrostatically charged microfiber graded mat, with a light spun bonded top sheet and a heavyweight spun bonded support scrim. The filter shall have an average efficiency of 80-85% on ASHRAE 52.1-92. It shall have an average arrestance of not less than 99.0% on that standard. Filters shall be listed by Underwriter's Laboratories as Class 2.

FARR RIGA-FLO P-95 - Filter media shall consist of a completely synthetic, electrostatically charged microfiber graded mat, with a light spun bonded top sheet and a heavyweight spun bonded support scrim. The filter shall have an average efficiency of 90-95% on ASHRAE 52.1-92. It shall have an average arrestance of not less than 99.5% on that standard. Filters shall be listed by Underwriter's Laboratories as Class 2.

MEDIA SUPPORT GRID - The media support shall be a welded wire grid with an effective open area of not less than 96%. The welded wire grid shall be bonded to the filter media to eliminate the possibility of oscillation and media pull-away. The media support grid shall be formed in such a manner that it effects a tapered radial pleat design. The grid shall be designed to support the media both vertically and horizontally.

CONTOUR STABILIZERS - Contour stabilizers shall be galvanized steel and shall be permanently installed on both the air entering and air exiting sides of the filter media pack to ensure that the tapered radial pleat configuration is maintained throughout the life of the filter. There shall be four contour stabilizers on the air entering side and six on the air exiting side. The filter shall be capable of withstanding 10" w.g. pressure drop without noticeable distortion of the media pack.

ENCLOSING FRAME - The enclosing frame shall be constructed of galvanized steel. It shall be assembled in such a manner that a rigid and durable enclosure for the filter pack is effected. The media pack shall be mechanically and chemically bonded to the inside periphery of the enclosing frame, thus eliminating the possibility of air bypass. The enclosing frame shall be equipped with galvanized steel protective diagonal support braces on both the air entering and air exiting sides of the filter. The diagonal support braces shall be mechanically fastened to each contour stabilizer.

Note 6" deep P-Series Riga-Flo filters are also available.
