For increased gas-phase adsorption / filtration at an economical price, the DP FILTERS ODOR-CARB panel filter utilizes the honeycomb style board filled with 60 minute grade activated carbon granules for higher retention time for gas-phase filtration. Has a coated beverage board frame for slide-in application in most HVAC filter tracks and completely disposable. Excellent for replacing common furnace style or pleated filters to better control nuisance type VOCs and odors.

Design and Construction

Filter Media

Carbon granules are 4 x 6 mesh size placed in open-cell honeycomb style board for maximum residence time. Two-inch thick panels contain more than 1-½ pounds of carbon per square foot, and one-inch thick panels contain more than ¾ pound carbon per square foot. All carbon is new 60 minute rated reactivity grade for maximum adsorption.

Media Support

The high wet strength honeycomb style board allows an even distribution of carbon granules for maximum residence time and lowest pressure drop.

The ODOR-CARB is available in all standard and special sizes, and is available in the 1", and 2" configuration. Filters longer than 25" use a book-style assembly.

Enclosing Frame

The DP Filters’ ODOR-CARB uses a white beverage board edge frame for maximum airflow. An optional die-cut frame is available on standard size panels for higher degree of strength in higher velocity systems. Another feature is an 1/8" thick polyester prefilter pad to keep most dust / lint off the carbon granules for maximum performance.
