Pleated Air Filter

For greater gas-phase filtration at an economical price, the DP FILTERS DP-30 CARBON PLEAT combines the filtration characteristics of the DP-30 PLEAT Series with a die-cut white frame construction of a common pleat, and is designed for use where any 1", 2", or 4" pleated or disposable filter is used. Has a coated beverage board frame and metal grid, if applicable, for filter media support and uses Lewcott Corp. "Activfilter" carbon treated pleated media to reduce odors.

Design and Construction

Filter Media
Charcoal impregnated pleated filters are made with a carbon (coconut shell based) impregnated synthetic media, containing eight grams of carbon per square foot. The pleats increase the surface area of carbon exposed to the air flow. For example, a 24x24x12 Charcoal impregnated pleat contains 14 square feet of effective media face area compared to only 4 square feet for a carbon filter panel.

Media Support
The media support is an unique blend of carbon granules, synthetic fibers, and bonding agents that possesses exceptional processability in odor reduction characteristics.

Pleat Design
The filter employs a "radial V" pleat design. This guarantees total usage of filter media, and maximum dust holding and odor retention capacity. This gives the user a greatly extended service life for cost savings.

Enclosing Frame
The DP-30 CARBON PLEAT FRAME is a rigid, water resistant beverage board used also in the standard pleated filter. These charcoal impregnated pleats not only act as an odor removal filter, but also as an effective particulate filter.

The DP-30 CARBON PLEAT is available in all standard and special sizes, and is available in the 1", 2", and 4" configuration. Filters longer than 36" use a book-style assembly.
