The FARR 6P Glide/Pack housing brings a new level of versatility to the
design of side access air filtration systems... while occupying minimal
space in mechanical rooms. Its four filter tracks hold up to four stages
of particulate and gaseous filtration in a single housing at 40" in
depth. For example, a four-stage systems might incorporate a pleated
panel prefilter, a high efficiency particulate filter, a carbon adsorber
for control of gaseous contaminants and a final "dusting"
pleated after filter. Many three-stage filtration schemes are also
possible.
Compact yet versatile, the 6P Glide/Pack accommodates today's IAQ and
air filtration needs - and tomorrows. FARR Company offers a wide choice
of particulate and gaseous filtration products that may be installed in
different combinations to meet to meet individual requirements. As those
requirements change, it is easy to retrofit or upgrade the system to
different filter types and/or efficiencies. There is no need for costly
modifications and no worries that your filtration system will become
inadequate or obsolete.
The 6P Glide/Pack offers the industry's lowest filter bypass leakage
rate. It is equipped with FARR Type 8 Universal Holding Frame which
seals each individual element against the gasketed surface with 100 lbs.
of force. Leakage of unfiltered air across the housing is guaranteed to
be < 1% of rated airflow. |

SPECIFICATIONS
| FARR
6P GLIDE/PACK - Side-access, four-stage filter systems consisting of
a housing, removable access doors, heavy extruded aluminum tracks with
seal, Universal Holding Frames, filter fasteners and three integral
static pressure taps. Housing shall accommodate either 2" or
4" deep prefilters in first track (A), followed by standard 6"
or 12" deep rigid particulate filter, or 12" standard rigid
carbon adsorber in second track (B). A 6" or 12" deep standard
particulate rigid filter, or 12" standard rigid carbon adsorber can
be installed in third track (C) followed by a 2" after filter in
forth track (D). In-line depth shall not exceed 40". The static
pressure taps shall be constructed of brass and equipped with pneumatic
fittings. The first pressure tap shall be installed between the first
and second filtration stages - the second shall be installed between the
second and third filtration stages - the third shall be installed
between the third and fourth filtration stages. Pressure taps shall be
able to provide individual and/or total pressure drop readings with
gauges and selector or three-way valves. Accuracy shall be +,- 3% from
0.6" w.g.
Leakage at rated airflow, upstream to downstream of
filter, holding frame, and slide mechanism shall be less than 1% at
3" w.g. differential.
Leakage into housing frame ambient atmosphere at rated
airflow shall be less than 0.5% at 3" w.g. negative. Manufacturer
shall submit substantiating test reports.
Housing shall be FARR model 6P Glide/Pack. It shall be
factory fabricated and assembled from 16 gauge galvanized steel with
corner posts of Z-channel bracing to eliminate racking. Each housing
shall be equipped with two removable access doors and 1.5" standing
flanges with pre-punched holes to facilitate field installation and/or
in-line mating with other FARR or OEM housings. Flanges shall be notched
to provide water runoff. Housing must be weatherproof and suitable for
rooftop/outdoor installation. Standard housing shall be built to
withstand +,- 4" w.g.

Access door shall be
constructed of 16-gauge galvanized steel and positioned to facilitate
removal or replacement of filters from either side of the housing. Each
door shall be removable and equipped with adjustable and replaceable
positive knobs and hinges to prevent ambient air from entering. Doors
shall provide easy lift-off or swing-open capability, making it easy to
access the system. The peripheral gasket material shall be of high
memory sponge neoprene. Holding frame-to-door contact shall be gasketed
with polyurethane foam to effect a leak proof seal.
Track shall be field adjustable and replaceable, heavy
gauge, aluminum extrusion designed to accommodate FARR Universal Holding
Frames. Each extrusion shall be equipped with three rows of replaceable,
nonwoven pile encased, aluminum backed, polypropylene finned seals
providing an air barrier between the extrusion and Universal Holding
Frame.
Universal Holding Frames shall be constructed of
galvanized steel and equipped with integral U-bearing slide channels,
centering dimples, multiple fastener lances and polyurethane foam
gasketing, internally and on frame sides, to facilitate a sealable
side-access system capable of accommodating any standard (nominal)
24" x 24" or 24" x 12" filters without modifications
to frame or housing.
Optional construction such as stainless steel housing,
high pressure (reinforced construction allowing +,- 8" w.g.),
double-wall insulated, transition plates for air handling equipment and
for FARR HEPA filter housings are available. |
